YOSEF CALDARON
Yosef Caldaron has been with Winston Art Group since 2012, and is director of our Fine Jewelry Acquisition Initiative. He is a seasoned jewelry professional with a deep understanding of the complex global gemstone and jewelry market. Possessing a breadth of experience that encompasses diverse roles in the industry, Yosef specializes in appraisal and advisory services with specific focus in important collections and rare acquisitions as our director of Fine Jewelry. A graduate of Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality and Business, Yosef also studied at the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) where he earned his Graduate Gemology degree (GG) as well as the Accredited Jewelry Professional (AJP) and Graduate Pearls (GP) certificates; additionally, Yosef earned a Diplomae in Gemmology from the Gemmological Association of Great Britain (Gem-A) and as such earned the title “Fellow of the Gemmological Association” (FGA). He possesses a rare combination of the world’s two most prestigious gemological degrees. Yosef also completed the National Association of Jewelry Appraisers (NAJA) full appraisal studies course, and is constantly enriching his knowledge through continuing education. Prior work experience includes: Tiffany & Co. New York City in the fine jewelry sales department, Bader & Garrin Diamond Company as a diamond dealer and appraiser, as well as the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) laboratory in Ramat Gan, Israel, where Yosef was a diamond grader, having completed a 3 month full-time intensive training program that is unparalleled in the industry.
Yosef brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to Winston Art Group as a lead Jewelry Specialist and Tel Aviv Liaison. He is a member of the National Association of Jewelry Appraisers (NAJA) where he serves on the appraisal review committee for education, and is the only Certified Master Appraiser (CMA) in New York, one of less than twenty nationwide. Yosef prepares appraisals for all purposes, including but not limited to: estate tax and planning, retail replacement for insurance, fair market, donation, damage or loss, collateral, and family division. Additionally, he assists clients with rare acquisitions and deaccessions through his extensive network of dealers, auction houses, and private clients.
