Yosef Caldaron has been with Winston Art Group since 2012, and is director of our newly-formed Fine Jewelry Acquisition Initiative. He is a seasoned jewelry professional with a deep understanding of the complex global diamond, gemstone and jewelry market. Possessing a breadth of experience that encompasses diverse roles in the industry, Yosef specifically focuses on rare acquisitions, appraisals and advisory services. A graduate of Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science in Business and Hospitality, Yosef started off in the business as a private custom jeweler while pursuing coursework with the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), where he completed the Accredited Jewelry Professional (AJP), Graduate Diamond (GD), and Graduate Pearl (GP) degrees; a gemologist through practical experience, he is currently completing the final course to earn the title of Graduate Gemologist.
Yosef has worked for Tiffany & Co. New York City in the fine jewelry sales department and at the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) laboratory in Ramat Gan, Israel, as a diamond grader after completing the three-month, full-time intensive training program that is unparalleled in the industry. He previously worked as an associate at Bader & Garrin Diamond Co., where he was mentored by third generation diamond veteran, David Bader, acting as a diamond trader and appraiser. Currently, Yosef is a partner in Bader & Caldaron, and is president of Josef C Diamonds where he engages in wholesale diamond dealing, manufactures custom jewelry, and works with a diverse body of clientele, including high-end and celebrity. Yosef brings a wealth of expertise and knowledge to Winston Art Group, where he prepares appraisals for all purposes, as well as assists clients with fine jewelry acquisition and deaccessioning through his extensive network of dealers, auction houses, and private clients.
